Honesdale Edges Lakeland, 41-40

The Chiefs lost a close, back-and-forth battle with the Honesdale Hornets 41-40.

Honesdale led 28-21 at halftime, but the Chiefs surged in the 3rd quarter to take a 34-28 lead. Honesdale then retook the lead with 2:12 left in the game at 41-34.

The Chiefs were able to drive and score a touchdown with just under 30 seconds to go but fell short of the win when their 2-point conversion attempt failed.

Lakeland QB David Naniewicz accounted for all 6 Chief TD's in the game as he ran for 164 yards and 2 rushing TD's while he also went 18 for 21 passing for 226 yards and 4 passing TD's. WR Gavin Roverts led all receivers with 7 catches for 99 yards and 3 TD's.
