Chiefs Rally Falls Short To Dunmore

Lakeland dropped a close game by a score of 20-14 to the visiting Dunmore Bucks Friday.

Dunmore scored late in the game on a 63-yard TD run by RB Izaiah Parker to take the lead and the win.

The Chiefs found themselves down 14-0 in the 1st quarter but battled back as the game went on. Late in the 2nd quarter, QB David Naniewicz hit WR Jayden Poklemba for a 12-yard score. In the 4th quarter, Lakeland scored again when RB Caden Cuozzo ran it in from 8 yards out to tie the game at 14.

On the night, QB David Naniewicz was 6 of 12 passing for 56 yards and 1 TD. Naniewicz also gained 75 yards on the ground while RB Rocco Spataro ran for 76 yards in the game. WR Chase Rosenkrans had 2 catches for 32 yards.

Lakeland now will face Honesdale at home this Friday.
